LAN Connection Status

Hello. I have a problem by using LAN that is, when i take status of my LAN

Connection it shows Activity "Sent & Recieved" in Million bytes although i

haven been not browsing anymore, why this is occured. Plz guide me

you are permanently connected to a LAN whenever the computer is on even if

you are not using the internet or email

Your virus scanner will update itself automatically, even when

you are not logged on, and so will Windows. Other applications

may do the same.

Windows Genuine Advantage

 

and any other "auto-start" programs may be constantly updating. I

would locate and install a firewall software that would also monitor

outgoing Internet access (like Zone Alarm Free.) Then, you can

monitor what is accessing the Internet and remove the ones you do not

wish to keep.
