So my last semi-unique idea turned out to be already done. So here's a new one:

In the spirit of RegexLib.com and Pinvoke.net, how about a massive library/database of algorithms for use in CS and Mathematics, using the wiki format, of course: crowdsourcing ftw.

Whilst there is currently one such database, it was last updated in 1996... and uses antiquated*green-on-black. The only alternative is just a massive dictionary.

I reckon it would be a great resource for CS students and the like. It would give a plain-english overview, a psuedo-code implementation,*examples in whatever language, and links/references to source papers, documents, etc.

Wikipedia's already good for this sort of thing, but it's hard to find what you're after.

What do you guys reckon, hit or miss?
