Added memory problem

Hello all.

I manage a Windows Server 2003 Standard SP2 32bit server.

Yesterday we have added 2gb of ram to the existing 2gb, for a total of 4gb.

While booting the server it shows correctly 4gb.

But Windows shows only 3,12gb.

The /3GB parameter has been added to boot.ini, but nothing changed.

What is missing? Well, I know, is missing 0,87gb :D but what is missing in

the procedure that I followed?

This is normal for 32-bit W2003 Standard. You'll either need Enterprise or

x64 if you want to use all of your 4GB.

Are you sure? This page

says something different.

I believe that it should see it all if the PAE kernel is enabled.
