Data Execution Prevention

I'm madder than heck. 'Data Execution Prevention' - some Microsoft

program - just stopped the installation of a program I wanted to install.

This is the second time in 2 or 3 years this stupid program has stopped

installation of a program - and I wanted the other one too!!!

 

I have firewalls, virus protection, ad protection, .... What the heck is

this DEP and how can I turn it off. It has stopped NO real threats.
