wow i have never heard of adding ram slowing your pc down.where did you hear this.

im sure the extra 2 gb will improve your system not cause any lagging,,, just use the same ram that is already installed

As danzil said if you use the correct "type" of memory for your computer it will improve your performance. If you install the wrong type then performance may decrease depending on your setup. Go to crucial.com to see what you need.

 

Just don't bother going over 4GB on 32 bit versions of Vista. 4 is the limit.

 

On Vista Home Premium Microsoft reccomends a minimum of 1 GB. I always figure double what Microsoft says for a minimum. So if Home Premium is your version by all means add more RAM. I would even add more if it was Vista Basic;

alternativly go on the kingston website.there ram has a lifetime warrenty.
