Dear all,

I have a problem with mail exchage. I have an user account who have

two mail boxs. one mail box is using exchange and another one is using

POP3.

The problem is the mailbox that using POP3 can not delivery mail to

outside but can only delivery in the local. And it used to work

normally before. I don't know what is wrong.

So, anyone could you please help me with this?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks in advance,

Susan

Hi - this isn't the best group for your question - it's a general Windows

server group. Your problem really concerns Outlook, even though you are also

using Exchange.

If you're going to post in an Exchange group, it's important that you

include your version & SP levels of everything. In fact, do that whenever

you post in a server group in general.

For Outlook questions, try posting in microsoft.public.outlook.

Note that this is not a good configuration - don't mix and match account

types this way, or you will always run into problems with mail

delivery/routing. You really should have Exchange handling all your users'

mail, both internal and external. It defeats the purpose of a centralized

mail server to use Internet mail in outlook this way.

You haven't provided enough details for anyone to guess, unfortunately.

Hi Lanwench,

Thank you very much for your advice and your idea for help.

I think I just know about microsoft.public.outlook. I'm sorry, I won't

put it in the wrong place again.

Thanks,

Susan

No problem - I do recommend that you fix your configuration as I recommended

so that you don't experience this problem, and make your mail delivery much

more efficient in general.
