Disable "Install updates and shut down"?

Hello! When udpates are available for installation, users can select the

"Install updates and shut down" option in the "Shut Down Windows" dialog.

How can I disable this option, so that only administrators may install

updates?

I'm assuming you are going to create a GPO for this, or add this to your

existing Windows Updates GPO if you have one. This option can be found in

User Configuration-->Windows Components-->Windows Updates. There is an option

in there called: "Do not display 'Install Updates and Shut Down' option

in Shut Down Windows dialog box"

 

Just enable that and I think that should the trick.
