I've been to a quite a few Microsoft events, one thing that always stuck me is the number of males that go to such things. It always seems to be a huge "sausage fest". I don't ever recall a speaker at any event being a women, the only women I ever see at these events are in the audience (and very rare), or behind booths.

Well anyways I was looking to see if there are such things as Linux conventions (sorry guys) and I saw this: LugRadio Live 2008

9 of the 32 speakers are women?

In a computer (Linux even) convention? I can't believe this!

Is Microsoft not doing enough to attract women to their field?
