installing new sata disk

just for those interested, I recently installed a new WD sata drive and it

was just after having to newly install my OS, I never did install the sata

drivers for windows, however the BIOS does support SATA both INTEL and the

Gigabyte (my MB maker).

and windows found the new drive just fine.

it all depends on the sata controler being used

It's not as much an issue with SATA drivers per say as it is with SATA RAID

drivers.
