Event Error 257 - HELP!

I've getting a log full of error 257 (PlugPlayManager).

This is really affecting performance. CPU usage is at around 90% almost all

the time, and Kernel usage is around 18% all the time.

 

I've looked and looked and cant' find anything relating to this.

 

The only "New" thing on my system in last month is (was - I NUKED it) Ulead

DVD Workshop 2. System is absolutely and free of viruses, trojans, worms,

bots and other malware.

 

Can someone help please.

It was caused by an update to Nero 8. Indexing service!!! Don't install

Scout, Backup or Rescue Disk unless you really need them.

Related service: NMindexingService.
