Odd problem - navigating to share automatically maps drive oncomputer

Hello! I have a very quirky problem that I honestly have no idea how

to fix. Our athletics group on campus has their own server, broken up

into the various departments and such. If you navigate to the server

thru network neighborhood, then go into the share and one (and just

one does this mind you) of the directories under the share, it maps a

drive on that local computer automatically to that. Each time. So by

the end of the day you may have 10 mapped drives to that share. I

duplicated this on numerous machines. It does it literally when you

go to this one particular folder under the share, no others! Its

crazy! Why is this happening? I have no idea what to check!

The server is running Windows 2003 server, patched current

The workstations are all Windows XP Pro SP2, patched current

Why in the world would going to one particular folder force a drive to

be mapped?? Its just a folder under a share, nothing fancy. Is this

a setting I'm just missing?? I hope someone has an idea for me, this

one has me perplexed!
