Blue Screen On Laptop: Help!!!

Hey guys,

 

I was wondering if you could spare some time to help me figure out what causes this problem.

 

Sony VAIO

A VGN-A215M

CPU: Intel Pentium M 725, 1.60 GHz

RAM: 512 MB/Mo

HDD: 60 GB/Go

LCD: 15.4" WXGA X-Black LCD 1280 x 800

 

My laptop keeps on restarting as soon as this annoying blue screen comes up.

 

 

 

 

I really don't know what's wrong with my laptop or what to do to fix this problem. I wish someone is kind enough to offer some help, please?

I am sorry, but I have removed the photograph as it was miles too big for the forum.

if you can possibly reduce the size and repost it, or perhaps provide a link to a host service such as Photobucket, it will help.

However for other members benifit, the message was the IRQL-not- Less- Or- Equal one.

This quite often means a fault in the RAM or memory stick.

In your specifications you state it is 512MB. Is that what the laptop came with, or have you increased it to that size by adding more from say 250mb?

If it is the size of RAM that it came with, you may be able to remove it and try replacement. I haven't looked, but it does sometimes depend on the make and model as to whether it can be removed easily.

Also have you tried running it in safe mode as per the instruction on your blue screen, keep tapping F8 at start up. will it run in safe mode or does it still go to the blue screen?
