snmp beginner-- basic implementation

i'am new to channel 9..plz help me out..

 

i do not know much abt snmp* and v hv to do a project on snmp netwrokingin our college(for printers).....so plzzzz help..

 

i want to know how to implement snmp in java.....

 

how do we actually send getrequest messsages to agent

wt tools do we hv to use....

 

and wt abt mib variables... do we need to import mib variables in our pc....

 

also do all windows sytems hv basic snmp service..if not hhow do we install snmp service for windows xp..
