Guest Andrew Lomakin Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Re: Upgrading from 2K3 Standard to Enterprise Hi Paul, It's not possible, as far as i know. What you can do is an in-place upgrade - boot from the windows 2003 enterprise CD and choose to install over the existing OS - that will keep your programs and settings. I wouldn't recommend this, if you have something heavy like AD or exchange running on the existing server. Guest Paul Weterings Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Re: Upgrading from 2K3 Standard to Enterprise Not much of an answer I realize... Lets try that again. Yes you can upgrade from std to ent No, not without rebuilding the OS The upgrade process basically means booting the system with the ent 2003 CD and doing the upgrade, whether this 'implies rebuilding the OS' depends on your view of what that means. It's not something simple like getting the right volume key in place. Hope that helps.
