Explorer Windows Only Show 1 Letter in Title

I rebuilt my laptop last night (XP Pro). Did SP2 of course and every patch

available from MS Update. Also installed all my usual software.

 

Didn't notice until the end, but now all my Explorer windows show only a

single letter in the title. For instance when I open My Computer, the title

of the windows is simply M.

 

This happens only in Windows Explorer windows and not in IE.

 

I did some looking online but only found stuff relevant to IE6 (I have IE7)

and Google Toolbar - which I have but uninstalled and it didn't help.

 

Any ideas anyone please?
