Jamey Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 I have never experienced this error myself before but luckily Microsoft have an official support article on the matter: Error Message: "Windows Cannot Load the Locally Stored Profile" Unfortunately, the solution they give involves making a new user account because the directory associated with your previous user account has been deleted. Just create an account with a slightly different name, e.g. YourName2. Then see if you can browse to C:\Documents and Settings\[previous account name]. Hopefully you should be able to recover some of your files, look in the My Documents folder there. Quote
Tippyfrank Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 When I click on Icon on my desk top I get this message. 'C:\Documents and Setting\my name\Desktop\ Quote

RandyL Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 Hi Tippyfrank; Jamey supplied a good link to your first question. If this is an unrelated topic start a new thread as maynard suggested please. Can you also be more specific with your second post or issue? Such as what is the icon? Thanks; RandyL Quote We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else.
