Guest Will Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 Is there any application provided by Windows Server 2003 that would let us do accounting for how many hours a user spends *actively* logged into a specific server? We expect users to come into the server by RDP, and we do NOT want to capture the time they spend logged in but disconnected. We are only concerned with doing time accounting for how many hours per two week period they spend in an active login. If there are third party applications to do this kind of time accounting, I would appreciate the reference. -- Will

The only thing I am aware that may provide some info is a piece of freeware available (But not supported or written) on Microsoft's website. It is called LimitLogin, I don't think it will do what you want but give it a look over. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/cc160794.aspx -- Paul Bergson MVP - Directory Services MCT, MCSE, MCSA, Security+, BS CSci 2008, 2003, 2000 (Early Achiever), NT4 http://www.pbbergs.com Please no e-mails, any questions should be posted in the NewsGroup This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
