tallica Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Earlier today I had to reconnect my IDE cable because the pc couldn’t boot up. (loose IDE cable) Managed to boot up the pc but my Slave drive wasn’t recognized and I check the BIO’S and said not detect, so I decided to start my pc up again and only connected the slave drive and opened the BIO’S and it detected it. I just aren’t able to detect the slave drive with the slave a master drives connected. Any advice/help would be welcomed. Thanks Quote
KenB Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Hi, Check that you have the slave drive jumper set in the "Slave" position. If you are using the same cable to connect both drives ( are you ? ) then ensure that the Master Drive is connected to the end and the slave drive to the centre connection. Are you using an 80 way cable? If you have a spare cable try swapping them over. Jelly Bean Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 You need to set the hard drive jumpers to master and slave. Quote Rwy'n ceisio fy ngorau......................
