Earlier today I had to reconnect my IDE cable because the pc couldn’t boot up. (loose IDE cable)

Managed to boot up the pc but my Slave drive wasn’t recognized and I check the BIO’S and said not detect, so I decided to start my pc up again and only connected the slave drive and opened the BIO’S and it detected it.

I just aren’t able to detect the slave drive with the slave a master drives connected.

Any advice/help would be welcomed.

Thanks

Hi,

Check that you have the slave drive jumper set in the "Slave" position.

If you are using the same cable to connect both drives ( are you ? ) then ensure that the Master Drive is connected to the end and the slave drive to the centre connection.

Are you using an 80 way cable?

If you have a spare cable try swapping them over.
