safe mode

my com keeps sending me to safe mode when i tryed to go to system restore its tells me it turned off how do i get out of safe mode.

plz help

Hi Rainman, when it goes into safe mode, do you have the "Last known good configuration" option available, and if so have you tried it?

yes tryed last known good config

when it goes to start up a flash of blue comes up with some thing typed on it to fast to read then it opens safe mode.

OK, lets see if we can find out what that message is, you should see an option "Disable Automatic Restart" try that and reboot, it should then display that message, if it does, can you copy it to your next post please.

It might give us a clue as to what next to try.

sorry cant even do that tryed every thing i know it just keeps going back to safe mode wont let me down load any thing can open web site but thats all.

Hi rainman.

 

1. Right-click on Computer, select Properties.

2. Click Advanced System Settings.

3. On the Advanced tab, under “Startup and Recovery”, click “settings”.

3. Under “System Failure”, uncheck the box next to “automatic restart”.

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you`ve seen this stop error screen, restart your computer.

If the screen appears again.follow these steps:

check to be sure you have adequate disk space,if a driver is identifed in the stop message,disable the driver or chesk with the manufacture for updates.

try changing video adapters.

check with your hardware vender for any BIOS updates.

Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing.

if you need to use safe mode to remove or disable componts.

Restart your computer.Press f8 to select Advanced startup options, and then select save mode.

Hi all back again

as you know my com was in safe mode all the time could not fix it so it got wiped and windows 8 installed now working.

But my pages are so big how do u make them a bit smaller like i had.

You need to go to your computer makers website and under there support tab search for graphics card driver download.

 

You will proberly have to input your make and model of computer into drop down boxes to retrive a list of hardware drivers for your computer.

 

Once your graphics card driver is updated you can right click anywere on your screen and choose properties and change your resolution and refresh rate.

got every thing up and running BUT all my pages are small print i mean u cant read the writing even in the start up page the page is the same size of the screen how do i adjust it
