Guest Lasse Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 Hi We are running Server 2003 R2 an all company servers. We have three branch offices and HQ, all connected through a MPLS. For some strange reason two of the three branch servers aren't displayed under My network places\"Domain". I can easily access the server by entering "\\ServerName" but not through My network places. Any idea to what might be wrong? /Lasse

Guest Bill Grant Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 Re: My network places Not just run WINS, but all machines in all sites need to register in the same WINS database. The computer browser service is still basically the same as it was under NT. The standard troubleshooter is still KB188305 "Anthony [MVP]" <anthony@no-reply.com> wrote in message news:ul3UhgCiIHA.5160@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... > You would need to run WINS.
