Cannot RDP to Win2003 Server after 1st reboot

We can RDP to a server, reboot, and after the reboot we can access all

network services (NetBIOS views, printing, etc.) except we cannot RDP

to the server. Terminal Services are running and no errors list in any

of the event logs, but RDP still fails even after letting a server run

for several hours. The only way we've been able to get RDP to connect

is to reboot the sever a second time, then we can RDP no problem. But

if we reboot from RDP again, the process repeats itself.

Anyone else experiencing a similar problem with RDP not connecting

after a Win2003 reboot?

Are you sure that the server really rebooted the first time? Check

the EventLog, and you'll probably see that it never went down, the

only thing that goes down is TS.

If that's your case, check this:

you shut down the computer in a remote console session
