Restrict access to my documents

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've searched everywhere but found no answer. I don't just want to delete

icons, I want to fully restrict access to my Documents.

I have seen this done before, a message regarding contacting your system

administrator comes up.

I want it so that even applications cannot access this folder. It is adding

to much to my My Documents folder on the domain and log offs are therefore

slow.

I know this is not available in GP, is there a registry trick for this? As I

said, I have seen it done, just want to do it myself.

Thanks

Sam

Are you using roaming profiles?

Yes. Users save to U:\ or S:\. I want to completely block all requests to my

documents.

Re: Restrict access to my documents

Redirect "My Documents" to the "home drive" U or S or what ever you provide.
