Notification Area

I've just discovered that I cannot cutomize my WXP Task Bar 'Notification

Area' .

In the properties section, after setting 'Hide Inactive Icons', and going in

through the 'Customize' button, the pull-down menu for each task bar item is

not active and cannot be changed. I am wondering if this program is not

working, or if there is another setting elsewhere that I must uncheck in

order to get this particulr feature to work.

Thanks

RE: Notification Area

Thanks nass. I have downloaded and installed TweakUI. However, I'm not

certain what to do at this point as no one item on the list seems to apply

specifically to my desire to activate the way items are displayed (or become

inactive when not in use) in the Notification area of the taskbar. I've tried

a couple of items but so far the properties list remains unresponsive to any

alterations or customization. Any further suggestions? Thanks again.

Stop looking at TweakUI: it won't do what you want. I don't know if

anything will.

RE: Notification Area

Hi,

Try to Restore Default Button or Try to Uncheck the check box for:

[ ] Hide Inactive Icons then Reboot your machine and see if that will

help.

Try in safe Mode the changes.

Please let me know your findings.
