Just an update on my new machine* ***please...run if you are sick my new machine

there are ....problems.

 

SATA problems.* BSOD problems.

Actually I made some search on Intel Motherboard, model* DX38BT will meet your requirement.*However that board is on back order and also it only take DDR3 memory.

ok - i need an intel MB for this intel chip...

Bad thing is that board only supports DDR3 memory 4G will cost you about $600 more...

 

Gigabyte make 1 motherboard, model # EX38DQ6*that motherboard will cost you $ 90 more. That board can take DDR2 memory.

 

One thing is all the motherboard and CPU are very new and how they work with VISTA is still unknown.*I am very sure*they work with XP it shouldn't be any problem

 

I only suggest to wait till VISTA or new motherboard BIOS to solbe those problems. a different motherboard may create another problem

back to the ...yawn .... upgrade * oh did i mention i see NO speed difference?* sure... everything is more fluid... everything is more quiet... but i KNEW it...* hrtz is everything.* Where is my 7ghz chip intel?* Moore? ..-* oops - the upgrade

 

 

so - gigabyte MB or Intel MB.... DDR3?* 600 more?
