pc1966 Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Hi Is it possible to transfer the files from Xp to Win 7 if you only have one monitor/keyboard etc??? Many thanks Pc Quote
Plastic Nev Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 You may have to swap the monitor and keyboard plus mouse backward and forward to install the software which must be installed on both machines for it to work, but once that has been done, the data can be transferred from one to the other by using just the one computer with keyboard, monitor and mouse connected as the controlling machine. Please make sure before you buy, that the transfer cable you get is compatible with both XP and Windows 7. The other options are to use a large enough pen drive to collect the data from one machine, then swap keyboard etc, and pen drive to the other to transfer over. Nev.
