Hard drive issues.

hi

i am a pc beginner and until yesterday 23/93/10 my 1Tb usb external hard disk was working, and i used it for back up as well as storing data etc. it has relocated itself from 'removable storage ' to hard disk drives on the computer menu and i can no longer transfer data opr back up my pc on it

 

will i have to format, delete or create a partition to resolv this iswsue, or are there steps i can take in BIOS to resolve this matter...i would be eternally [ or should it be externally grateful if someone could assist ///i have a dell E521 pc running windows 7, with 2x athlon pprocessors...i also have aan acer laptop 2 core duo and the ex hard disks works fine on that

Are you able to right click and choose explore?

 

Does that work?

 

Is the hard drive making any sound or is it making any vibrations?
