Where Is Download Manager?

If I download a file, the mgr dialog appears and all is well. However, if

it's not around and I want to examine what I've downloaded, how do I access

it? I don't believe there's a way to order the downloads by date. Is there a

way?

Create a dedicated folder, Downloads in the Root of your C:\ drive.

Download any file and set it's destination to that Downloads folder.

XP remembers the destination folder and will use that for future file

downloads. As to date, set the Downloads folder view to "Details"

and choose the Date Created or Modified column as your sorting

key. ( A downward arrow indicator for either column will show the

most recent file at the top of the listing ).

What download manager? Windows XP doesn't come with one. Internet

Explorer doesn't come with one. If you don't change the target

location of where to save a download, IE just uses whatever was

specified for the prior download when a destination path was

specified. So, if you didn't specify a download location, it is

wherever you previous specified. If you have no clue or remembrance

of what was that prior destination, you could always do a file search

on the downloaded file to find out where you put it.

That's odd. How does this happen? I'm looking at it right now. There is no

Help or About. Whenever I try to download a program or file, a dialog is

opened that gives he a choice of what to do with it. If I say, download

rather than say Open with Word, it goes straight to the LD Mgr. Browser call?

How should we know? XP does not have a "download manager" so you are

talking about some third party program. Ask their tech support. Your

question is out of place HERE.

Re: Where Is Download Manager?

That is not a download manager in the sense of the one which allows you

manage downloads via a listing of downloads completed and in progress. A

manager allows you to pause and resume downloads, repeat them, etc.

Managers, like Free Download Manager,

http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/download.htm, provide a wide range of

download related functions.

You are using SeaMonkey. Go to Tools at the top of the page and on the

drop down menu click on Download Manager. It will show you the downloads.

Re: Where Is Download Manager?

Really? My last question was where does it come from? It has absolutely no

identify other than what I described. So the law is I can't ask a question?
