I have just installed a new game from the cd drive, when I come to run the game I am asked to insert the correct cd rom even though I have not removed th CD from the drive. It is a single CD game, has any one any idea how to solve the problem.

i would advise blowing in to the cd drive, the smallest drop of salive (yuck) on your lense could make the matter worse.....

have you tried the game in another pc to see if this happens.

what game is it,have you searched for patches.

absolutly agree.

dust in the tray can cause as muc trouble as a dirty disc...

a can of compressed air should do the trick..these cost about a fiver from http://www.cpc.co.uk or a new drive if it isnt the cd is only about £20 for a dvd/cdrw
