Shift Key wrong results

Some of the keys seem to be confused, for example Shift + 2 is giving '@' + 3 '#' how can i fix this?

Go into control panel and change regional and language settings for your computer and keyboard.,

Hi, just to add, in the regional and languages box, click on the drop down menu, and select "English United Kingdom" if you are in the UK. Then click "Apply" and "OK" you may have to restart your computer for the change to take effect.
