Ok guys,

I know this post is use for the microsoft comunity but sometimes, there is a

Mac user want to connect to a windows 2003 Server R2.

So, i have a network with 3 PC on windows Vista and 1 server in win 2003 R2

standard.

Evrythink was Ok !

But i have a network with Mac X Server(10.2.8) and eMac(10.3.9), and i want

to access to the share of my win 2003 to the Mac computer.

I Have a probleme, when i use a SMB connection there is an error message

(error 5000)

When i use the AFP (Apple file share with the apple services on my windows

2003, the mac server and emac can have access.

But when i copy files or folder to the mac in the share of my server, there

lot error message.(the name of the file was too long bla bla bla...)

If i share a folder in my Windows Vista, i can copy the Mac folders and

files to the vista share, there no error !!!??

did you have an idea, please ??

(I work in France, sorry for my english and i have not the same time (GMT +1))

Disable SMB Signing on your W2003 box if you want this to work smoothly.

This is written for SBS2003 but should apply to regular W2003 as well -
