Windows 2008 - remap system drive letter

We have a third-party LOB application that needs each user to have their own

C: drive. Personally I think this is rather poor and have repeatedly

requested that they sort their code out but it is falling on deaf ears.

With Windows Server 2003 remapping the system drive from C: to D: was easily

achieved - a registry tweak and a reboot.

Unfortunately this no longer works for Windows Server 2008. The server will

boot but I am unable to log on as a user.

Does anyone know how I can install to a drive letter other than C: or change

the drive letter once the installation is complete?

Windows Server 2008 offers too many benefits to ignore but if it doesn't

support the LOB app it is a no go...
