Vista Problem (IQ772.UK)

Hi when switching on my computer today a black screen appeared, the hard drive is functioning ok, cd writer is also working, and when i touch the screen it still make beeping noise.

I have tried switching on/off after disconnecting power supply and holding down the on/off switch etc. But still black screen problem with no writing on the screen all, the model is (HP TOUCHSMART IQ772.UK)

Hi and welcome to Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help, the touch screen itself may be the problem, although I don't know them much as yet, they will still have a backlight lamp, it could just be the lamp gone duff.

If you stand to one side, can you see any outline of what may or should be showing on the screen? If there is a faint outline, then it definitely is the lamp.
