Guest Larry Scott Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 I upgraded Windows Server 2008 x64 gold with the RC0 Hyper-V KB949219. The upgrade went without incident except when I tried to start the previously installed clients. All the clients generated the following error message: "An error occurred while attempting to change the state of the virtual machine "machine name". "machine name" failed to initialize. Failed to read or update VM configuration. This is BAD!
