When server starts virtual machines is in saved state, but when I try start it Virtual Server stops to respond. This problem apperars on many servers. OS version is Windows Server 2003 R2 SE SP2. If a copy you need to make sure you did a sid walk of some kind. -- Paul Bergson MVP - Directory Services MCT, MCSE, MCSA, Security+, BS CSci 2008, 2003, 2000 (Early Achiever), NT4 http://www.pbbergs.com Please no e-mails, any questions should be posted in the NewsGroup This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. Guest Paul Bergson [MVP-DS] Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 Re: Virtual Server 2005 R2 hang Duplicate sids, I'm just stating weird things can happen if you don't prep properly. You didn't provide any details on the initial build so I was trying to think of anything that might be causing you problems. Only other thing I can think of is if you can't running an AV and you are some how infected with a virus. Without any error messages, event log details there isn't much to go on.
