If that's all the information you can provide,

the answer is no.

If you have a copies of Windows and Office running on several computers you

can determine which pk is in use on each computer by downloading and running

KeyFinder from http://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder.shtml. If you have

a copy of Windows preinstalled on a computer the pk will be on a sticker on

the case (desktop) or bottom (laptop).

Please be more specific in the future. There are many products with product

keys.

It belongs to the product contained inside the CD box.

And Belarc Advisor will show most of those that are MS products...

including the XP key.

Not necessarily. The cds are pretty generic. It does not tell him which

computer on which he used a specific product key. For that he needs to

check the computer, not the box.

If I have three copies of XP Home retail there is no way that looking in the

boxes can tell me which of my three computers uses which product keys. Not

only that, I may have used the same cd to do all three installations.

In fact, all seven of my copies of Vista were installed with the same dvd

and more than a dozen copies of XP Pro x86 were installed with the same cd.

I run KeyFinder when I need to know a specific pk and have a file with the

pks associated with the physical and virtual computers they go with.

Read the label on the front of the box?
