XP - StartUp Error Message

Hello all,

 

I really hope that someone can help with this.

 

On booting into XP, I immediately receive the following error message:

 

Error Deleting File or Folder:

Cannot Delete File: Cannot read from the source file or disk

 

I do not know which file this is trying to delete. Therefore I don't know where to go to attempt a delete!

 

I have run severl spyware programs and the chkdsk command, but no luck!

 

Any help would be appreciated about resolving this bug.

Hello and welcome.

 

A simple solution that may work would be a system restore to just before you got this error.
