DAIPWYSO Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Hi All I got a Ubuntu CD and wanted to use it live to try it out. I must have gone wrong somewhere because it's tried to install it onto the hard drive. When I start the PC it offers either Windows XP or Ubuntu. If i select ubuntu it can't find everythnig it needs to run. What I need is to uninstall Ubuntu from the hard drive (not much space left) and just run it from the CD to try it because I want to ultimately get rid of Microsoft. I mainly use the PC for basic word processing, spreadsheets, photo editing/printing and storage, Itunes/Ipod playlists etc, and internet browsing. I've have been using Openoffice in Windows XP for quite a while now and it's absolutely fine. Any (easy to follow) help would be much appreciated, regards Dave. Quote
