How to tell IE and Outlook Express to open new windows and mailmaximized?

When opening mail in one of my mail identities, the mail is always

small - i.e. not maximized - maybe 4" x 4" and I have to double click

the blue bar or the restore box - the box in the upper right corner

betw the minimze "-" and the close "x". In the othe identity they

open large but not maximized - i.e. the restore box having only one

square instead of the overlapped squares you see when it's maximized.

I also find Explorer windows opened from links are opening small the

same way. How do I get it to stop doing this?

Running XP Media Center SP2.

Thanks for all input.

You will have to do this for each different window.

First, *close all other windows*. Now, grab the corners of the window and

drag it to full screen size. Close the window using File | Close, or File |

Exit depending what program you're in. Windows will remember the last screen

size used the next time you open the program.

I couldn't get anything to "stick". I use IE New Window Maximiser, which is

a small free prog which lives in the sys tray and does what it says.

The trick in IE/OE is NOT to maximize. That doesn't get remembered.

You need to drag out a "Normal" window to near maximum size. That gets

remembered.
