A memory question

Hello All,

I have a Dell OptiPlex210L, the total memory installed is 512 MB, with

each slot 256MB, I have one 1GB memory, could I just take out one

256MB memory card and insert the 1GB? Or I need 2 1GB mmeory cards?

Thanks!

Ben

Re: A memory question

Check the mobo manual for slot mappings.

RE: A memory question

Hi,

My experience from the older OptiPlex's is that you have to install memory

in Pairs. We have 500 Optiplex GX270's and they are ALL like that. Also the

memory is hard memory to find. You may have to order the parts from Dell

directly. That is what we had to end up doing.

Cheers,

Lara
