Guest MarcusB Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 We have Windows 2008 64bit Enterprise running on HP DL380. It run perfectly. We add Hyper-V role, restarted it and after restart we run KB949219 update and than after restart it hangs at 54%. Configuring updates: Stage 3 of 3 - 54% complete Do not turn off your computer It is the same in another machine. We tried 5 times from the beginning. It seems that RC0 is a joke. How to install it ? Regards MarcusB

Guest EddieR Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 Re: RC0 Hyper-V KB949219 is a joke! I too am having the same issue installing Hyper-V RC0. I had a single VM running prior to attempting the update. The system is an HP DL 380 G5, 4GB RAM, and 2 x Quad Xeon 2.0 GHz CPU with 2 x 72 GB SAS disks and 4 x 146 GB SAS on P400 controller Windows 2008 Enterprise plus HP Proliant Support Pack (PSP) 8.0. This was running RC1 followed by an upgrade to the RTM (Only a test box). Guest XweAponX Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 Re: RC0 Hyper-V KB949219 is a joke! Excuse me, but can someone just tell us how to get RID of this thing... I don't see how giving system specs helps anyone out at all. Just tell us what files to delete/ what services to shut off/What Registry entries to change. Seeing as how Microsoft did NOT include an uninstaller with the update. Also, I have seen nothing but 100% FAILURE for this particular update, so why is it so hard for Microsoft to either provide us with an uninstaller, or instructions on how to remove it? Is there a Microsoft "Article" that tells us how to DELETE this thing? Because the issue here is not "Making it work" but rather "Taking the "update" OUT". Please tell me what files to delete. Thanks. -- XweAponX ------------------------------------------------------------------------ XweAponX's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/member.php?userid=49532 View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/showthread.php?t=935895 http://forums.techarena.in
