My PC stopped working some time ago. I have been trying ever since to

reinstall Win XP (SP2). It starts but does not finish loading the files then

the PC shuts down. What then is the problem and how can I fix it. Note that I

didn't get virus before the problem started . Thank you.

You need to tell us what exactly you're doing when you attempt

to re-install Windows. Remember - we can't see your screen!

That could mean anything. What DOES it mean?

That could mean anything. What DOES it mean?

It means the computer shuts down during installation.

Remove and reseat all cards, reseat your cables, and clean out the case and

fan openings. Try reinstalling with a minimum of external devices

connected. If the problem persists you should take it to a technician.

Phone in doctor's office rings and the doctor picks it up (the

receptionist took the day off).

"DOC! You gotta HELP me! Yesterday everything was fine and I

was OK but when I woke up today I didn't feel good! What do you

think is wrong?"
