Tootech Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 What router do you use, an what is the make and model of your laptop? Quote
PseFrank Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Forgive me for suggesting the obvious, but have you inadvertently turned off your laptops wireless capability?....Maybe a small slider switch? KenB Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 As PseFrank says - don't overlook the obvious. Most laptops have a switch to turn on / off the wireless connectivity. This is sometimes positioned on the front and is easily turned off by accident. Quote There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !! Cantamessa Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 Wireless network I have a wireless network. I'm trying to access the files on my desktop. On my laptop in my work group, I see the icon for my desktop computer. Thanks for this Quote Force Factor
Dalo Harkin Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Can you now access the internet? It sounds like you are trying to use Remote Desktop, you need to use a valid log in name for the PC you are trying to access and a matching password for that account. Just to be clear the PC you are trying to access needs to be turned on Quote Intel Q6600 @ 4Ghz (Watercooled)Asus P5K premium black pearl4GB OCZ Reaper 8500260GTX Join Free PC Help - Register here Donations are welcome - here PC Build We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else. After all, no one knows everything and you may have the answer that someone needs.
