It looks like Long Zheng's been trawling the MS job boards again. This time he's found an opening on a team that will build a next generation native code UI platform for Windows 7. I seem to remember him (or someone) finding a similar job post a while back, but that one sounded more like an internal use library. This time it defintely sounds like it's for public consumption.

 

With Silverlight coming from one side, and now this new framework coming from the other, I'm starting to wonder what niche plain old WPF will be relegated to in the next several years.
