I can,t activate hibernation. I have sufficient space. When I tick

'enable hibernation' and enter apply, I get the message 'Power Policy

Manager unable to reserve the hibernate file.' The info reads, "The

process cannot access the file because it is being used by another

process." Can anyone help, please?

RE: Hibernation

If hibernation is not enabled, the hyberfil.sys file in the system root

directory (ex: C:) gets deleted. Now look for that file and if its there

delete it, then enable hybernation in the control panel. If the error is now

gone the hyberfil.sys file is recreated.

To see the hyberfil.sys file: In windows explorer > Tools > Folder

Options... > View tab > Under Files and Folders, tick Show hidden files and

folders. Unheck, Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)
