Greetings XP wizards

I'm setting up a new user and the desktop has all the icons I have on mine.

Deleting them removes them from my desktop too. I'm sure it's simple (!) but

how do i remove irrelevant icons from a user's desktop whilst keeping them

on mine?

Many thanks

There are two locations for your desktop icons:

a) c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop

b) c:\Documents and Settings\JohnDoe\Desktop

Icons located in folder a) are visible to all users.

Icons located in folder b) are visible to JohnDoe only.

In answer to your question: Move the icons you wish

to keep to your own "Desktop" folder.
