Hello all,

My computer froze last night. When I try to resatr it, I get the

options screen to start in safe mode, normally, etc. No matter which

option I choose, as soon as the Windows screen appears, it immediately

retarts back to the options screen. Any ideas on trouble shooting?

Thanks.

Re: Windows restarts at "Windows screen"

one of the options is

to bypass the windows

operating system at boot

up and go right into the

disk system by utilizing

"any" windows cd and

selecting the recovery

console from one of the

setup options provided.

the recovery console will

ask for a password enter

the one you have or skip it

by pressing enter.

it will also ask you to

enter the line number

that is designated to your

system, which is usually

the number 1.

at the disk system prompt

run the following commands:

chkdsk

fixboot

bootcfg /rebuild

then exit, remove cd

and reboot
