Ok Recently i Lent My Laptop To a Friend So i Put All my Chat logs n Personal Items into hidden folder, now i cant find it and it has a very very very important document in there.

How can i find it??

Go to windows explorer then tools then folder options now click the view tab and tick the view hidden folders box now do a search for the document with windows search (make sure you use the advanced section of search and search for hidden folders)

what programme was the document created in

if it was word try searching for *.doc this will scan your machine for word documents

excel *.xls

notepad *.txt
