New C9 editor feature: split quote?

Not sure if it's possible to implement this in some future version of C9, but I just realized that it would be convenient if there was a button that would split a quote at the current cursor position. Right now, you have to manually insert

in the editor at the point where you want to split somebody else's quote. It'd be much easier if you could do that through the press of a button.

 

Thoughts?
