monitor goes to sleep mode

when on my pc after 20 mins or so the monitor will go into sleep mode the pc is still running but the monitor is blank its be coming often now i will swicth off and on again and it will work for a little longer help

This sounds like an overheating problem so the graphics are switching off because it is too hot.

Turn the computer off and turn off the power at the wall socket.

Turn the case on it's side and remove the lid, usually two screws and the lid slides out.

Check for dust around fans and heatsink fins, also if a graphics card is fitted check heatsink and fan on that for dust. A soft brush and if obtainable, a can of compressed air to remove the dust.

Do not use a vacuum cleaner, it can create damaging static.
